AHA BHA PHA

AHA, BHA and PHA acids are chemical exfoliants that help remove dead skin cells and improve skin texture. Each acid has its own specific action and suits different skin types.

AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), such as glycolic acid, works on the surface of the skin, helping to even out skin tone and smooth fine lines. It suits dry and ageing skin well.

BHA (beta hydroxy acid), such as salicylic acid, is oil-soluble and can penetrate deep into the pores, clearing them from within. It is effective against blackheads and acne and suits oily and problem skin.

PHA (polyhydroxy acid), such as lactobionic acid, has a larger molecule and works more gently while also hydrating the skin. It suits sensitive skin well.
